Finally Home

" Ha! I bet you can't get me"! Lucy called back to her brother Peter.

" I bet he can"! Susan said as she looked up from the book she was reading under the shade of a Sika tree.

'' Hey"! Lucy exclaimed, halting to glare at her sister. The hesitation giving Peter enough time to sneak up and grab Lucy around the waist.

" Ha! got ya"! Peter exclaimed as he swung his sister around in a circle. Just then Caspian and Edmund walked into the courtyard.

" What's up guys"? Edmund asked as Caspian went to go sit by Susan.

" Nothing, just happy to finally be home". Peter answered. " I mean yeah it was hard to say goodbye to Mum and Dad, but Narnia has been our true home since LuLu first found it through the wardrobe". Peter said while setting Lucy on his shoulders. Then the happy group heard the all to familar sound of padded paws.

" ASLAN"! Lucy screamed as she jumped from Peter's shoulders and ran out of the courtyard. The next thing they all heard was a soft thud and the familar husky chuckle of their regal friend. Then Aslan walked through the arched doorway with a very happy Lucy on his back. Lucy dismounted and went to go stand by the rest of the group. Susan, Peter, Edmund, Lucy, and Caspian all went to one knee and bowed their heads.

" Rise kings and queens of Narnia". Aslan said a smile in his voice. Everyone in the group rose. Then the laughing and screms of glee started, Lucy and Susan tackled the lion while the guys said their "Hello's".

After the Screams and laughs of glee had supsided and a conversation was struck, the group all sat down and laughed at things said.

" So what brings you back to Narnia, great Aslan"? Caspian asked.

" I have decided, like the kings and queens of Old, to return to my home. This time for good". Aslan replied.

" Your staying for good"?! they all exclaimed in unison. The great lion bowed his head in response.

" Oh Aslan thats wonderful! But what do you plan on doing"? Susan asked.

" I plan on advising the kings and queens". Aslan replied once again a very audilble smile in his voice.

" You mean your gonna advise us in our desions to rule the land"? Edmund asked.

" That is correct Edmund son of Adam". Aslan responded. By that tim Lucy was asleep, curled up by Aslan's side. And Susan's head rested in Caspian's lap. They all , even Aslan, knew the joy the pair felt when they saw eachother again. Susan's eyes fluttered open and closed, as she drifted in and out of consusness. Caspian just smiled lovingly down at her.

" Well as seeing that most of us can barely keep our eyes open, I think it is time to retire". Aslan said manuvoring so that he barely move the sleeping child at his side.

" I agree". Peter said scooping the sleeping Lucy into his arms.

" Agreed". Caspian nodded as he gentally scooped Susan up.

" I say rejoice! For the kings and queens of Old are finally home"! Aslan called into the dimming sun.
