The Amber Gem Crown

Long ago in a land whose name has been scratched away by the sands of time, lived a beautiful queen who was favored for her crown. The crown was one that was encrested by a large amber gem. The amber was, in itself, a very remarkable thing, for as long as it shined the city would be safe from the darkest beasts, rouge vampires. But one fatefull day the queen fell ill and the gem started to fade. Meanwhile, as the queen laied ill in bed, the wolves that served her guarded the city. But as the gem faded more and more each passing hour, one by one the wolves left their posts, feeling the gem's power weaken. All but a young, lone wolf left the city walls, he had stayed to protect the stupid humans. `Of all my rotten luck!` the wolf grumbled in his head, `stay and protect the city, Torren says, stay and guard Torren says, bah! Blastphemy I say!`
